Apple Pie & Flat Tires . . .

So at the present I am lying on the floor in my room, watching The Mummy Returns and eating some apple pie. Apple pie made by a pair of very good friends, in some sort of attempt to appease the anger of the frustrated Amos after they pranked my car. If they were willing to do this everytime, I have to admit that the pies make it more then worth it. Thanks friends!!!

In other happenings, last night I went with a wonderful pair of girls down to Hollywood to see the musical play Wicked. It was great, very captivating with some absolutely wonderful scenes and such. I had never been to any sort of professionally done performence, so it was quite amazing. I will admit that I was at times more enthralled with the technical things going on then the actual story, but I am rather prone to that.

We had a bit of our own technical problems though on the ride back up. The front passenger tire decided to go flat while we were at the play, so about three blocks into our drive back we had to pull over and change it. No biggie really, so we switched it out for the spare and then made it almost back to school before it decided to go ahead and blow out while we were driving up the 5. Talk about annoying, man . . . just changed that tire like 20 minutes ago and now its dead again. And its like midnight, and I have two gorgeous young ladies with me, and we are stuck between the 5 and the 118 on the median. Oh the joys!!!

Anyway, a few phone calls were made, another spare was found on campus, brought down to us and everything is all worked out now. Its annoying to now have two tires to fix, one actually to replace . . . maybe five now that I think about it. But such are the woes of ownership I guess . . . something goes wrong and it all falls on you to patch it up and make it work again. Oh well . . . its all part of life. God is good, everyone was safe, no damage that I can discern occured to the car with the blowout, and we still made it back in time for curfew! Awesome times!

  1. Wow…

You managed to make it back before curfew? You’re INCREDIBLE!!! Don’t like that idea of two girls out that late, but then again, there’s hardly anyone I would rather them be stranded with…You’re the best, Amos. I don’t know what the world would do without you–seriously!

Are the tires fixed or did you borrow Kat’s car tonight? 😉 Write the paper, friend, and get sleep. Sleep is a beautiful thing.

Oh, and btw, this is my new website I linked you to!
