but never enough time to write about it . . .
so, I realize its been forever, and this will very definitely NOT be anything profound, it IS afterall almost 2am . . . but here I am nonetheless sitting down with the goal of putting SOMETHING new online . . .
and here it is . . .
there have been 5 books riding around in my bookbag for the last month or so, and I havent finished ANY of them . . . its . . . depressing . . . they are:
God in the Dark by Os Guiness
Spritual Maturity by J. Oswald Sanders
Desiring God by John Piper
The Robots of Dawn by Isaac Asimov
Postmodern Theory by Steven Best and Douglas Kellner
Quite a mix, not going to lie . . . the last one on the list is for class . . . the second to the last is just for fun (its the last book in a trilogy that I started a few months ago) . . . and the others are for personal learning . . .
these titles are of course in addition to the 22 other books sitting on my desk that I intend to read . . . and an uncounted stack on top of my bookshelf that I need to work through as well . . . I am what you might call crazy . . . there are a pile of other books as well that Id like to read . . . or that Ive seen and have had to control the urge to pick them up, just because I know that I have about a years worth of reading just sitting here and the book will just sit around here until I get to it . . . so . . . yeah . . . thats about all I can think of right now to write . . . more in the next day or two as I pull some other thoughts together . . . its one thing to be thinking about something, and another totally separate thing to actually blog it . . . oh well, when it comes it comes . . .
and finally, we sang this song at church this morning, and it is an amazing track . . . listen and think about what the lyrics are saying . . .
